Validation Engineer

Mandatory Requirements
- Monitor and research all Federal and State regulatory filings and provide a regular summary of all pertinent information.
- Research and analyze data from relevant filings such as rate cases, site plans, and annual and quarterly required reports, and present findings to management and other internal departments as necessary.
- Coordinate, prepare, and submit any required filings to FERC/CER or any other state commission, working with other departments as necessary.
- Work closely with other departments representing company’s wholesale natural gas marketing and trading business and contract negotiations. Liaison between Spotlight and outside counsel for regulatory affairs. Filing base interventions on Spotlight’s behalf where necessary.
- Represent Spotlight’s interests at meeting regarding technical conference, rate cases, or similar in-person events..
- Provide updates to management and risk departments on any upcoming regulatory changes that may have impact on company.
- Formulates and executes strategies to support the regulatory plans before the FERC/CER, and on an as needed basis for state jurisdictions, including case review and general tariff filings.
- Providing direction in relation to the company's compliance with applicable federal, state and municipal regulatory laws
Nice to Have Requirements
- Aptitude Solution requires at least a bachelors degree or higher in an engineering discipline such as industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, Manufacturing engineering, or a closely related field.
